Backstory:

While Kelly had always been a shy and careful person, ever since her family moved to Nedé, Tepestria, she had become even more so.  She missed the additional months of snow they had at their old home in Kindall, Cartria, but her parents didn't want to put up with it any longer.  The second her father received a promotion, he had himself transferred to his business's Tepestrian division, as their excuse to move to a climate with less wintery months.  Kelly had wanted to protest against the moving, but... she just couldn't find the courage to act against her parents' wishes.

Today, she attends Nedé Area Collegiate Institute.  What few friends she had were now gone; while she did her best to keep in touch with them over the Internet, it just wasn't the same anymore.  She wanted to try and make some new friends, but she couldn't push herself to try - even if she did, she was afraid she would screw up.  The problem was that she didn't need to try - people came to her, but for all the wrong reasons.  Exploiting not only her timid nature, but also picking on her being human, the tieran girls in the class teased and tormented her on numerous occasions.  The constant bullying caused her confidence and self-esteem to drop even lower than what they already were.  What few other humans there were in the class were either repressed themselves, or were good friends with the tierans - on rare occasions they might return to school as one.  Ironically, Kelly got to know everyone in the class, who were indeed quite "friendly", but in all the wrong ways.

Despite the racial bullying, she managed to keep her grades decently high.  But, having little enthusiasm to do anything with her life, she followed in her parent's footsteps, focusing on business and accounting classes, hoping to be as successful as they were.  During her studies, she did eventually make a friend.  Susan Tallor, a caring and strong willed human who had moved to the area two years ago.  Together, they kept each other going through all the teasing and diabolical antics their tieran classmates pulled on them.  Susan in particular proved herself to be quite formidable against their actions, not letting herself get backed down and taking charge of the situation.  Kelly looked up to her very much - she admired how confident she was, as well as how she successful she was in both school and outside it. 

If only she could be like that.  Someone more than what she is now.

A project I've meant to get around to for a long time.

Inspired by some backgrounds a friend of mine has made, I decided to try a few things out with this one.

Kelly Louis belongs to that same friend, , who, after bearing witness to my sheer excitement over her story and character, let me borrow her for future projects.  Ever since then I've had something in mind for her, but never really got around to bringing that into reality.  Well, here's the start of it. 

I'll try and focus on this story as much as possible over the next few months, but I will do the occasional fun picture, TF, art trade, all that.  I am however going to try out a few things with this story - revising my writing style and focus more on what's important, instead of just illustrating a TF or hybrid just for kicks.

Things are going to change.  And for the better I hope~  ^_^
